STEPPING STONES International School and C.V.Raman Chess club is jointly conducting a chess camp. The camp is for beginners preferably between the ages of 7-10 years at STEPPING STONES International School, Koramangala, Bangalore.

ABOUT C.V.RAMAN CHESS CLUB

C.V.Raman Chess club is a very popular chess club located in C.V.Raman Nagar, Bangalore. The club is a recognized chess academy of AICF (All India Chess Federation ? for more information, please log on to http://www.chessindia.org). The club has conducted many state level tournaments, and selection tournaments. In June 2002 the club conducted the National Rapid chess championship, and is planning to conduct many more chess tournaments at different levels in the near future.

QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS

Q: I already know chess, and why can?t I teach chess myself?

A:The child will get an opportunity to play with their batch mates, who are at the
same level. The more batch mates they play with, the more they are prepared to
participate in tournaments in the future.The more they practice, the better they play.

Q: My child is 7 years, isn?t my child too young for chess?

A: No. Chess is introduced by many schools, academies and agencies in the US and Singapore as early as 4 years. So, they are ready for it.

Q: My child is 6 1/2 years and mature can I send my child to the chess camp?

A: We will try to accommodate depending on your child?s maturity level and availability.

Q: My child is extremely busy with school and other activities. I am not sure if my
child can accommodate this activity?

A: We have convenient timings to accommodate your child?s schedule. Now is the perfect time, as it is the beginning of the school year. Please call and find out the timings about the sessions.

Q: I knew about this earlier, and by the time I called, the camp couldn't accommodate me. Is it going to be the same issue this time?

A: Since the session size is extremely small, it will be filled up soon. The best thing you cando is call immediately and register.
