Creative Express Workshops (introducing Critical Thinking too)

The Creative Express workshop will be a regular feature on Fridays for children ages 3 - 7 years. Creative Express workshops, among other things will also help children to enhance their critical thinking skills while they discover the joy of learning.
Critical thinking, very essential to a child's grooming today, is being overlooked in India. Unlike mathematics or science which produces one correct answer, critical thinking allows one to interpret, analyze, infer, and then choose the most suitable option among others. It is similar to the challenges that one might face in life. In advanced countries like the US, Critical Thinking is very much part of the child's curriculum as early as Kindergarten. Most college entrance tests also assess students for critical thinking skills.

As a parent, our responsibility does not end with educating our children either for getting a government job, for becoming an engineer, a doctor, an accountant or an attorney. In any profession, critical thinking plays a vital role in helping them to advance- coming up with the subject matter, being able to author it, interpreting the subject matter authored by others, presenting the matter to a group, aiming for a consensus among a group, etc. All these are very well part of the critical thinking skills, for which the child should be trained.
